


| Season 1 Show Description American Dance Legend is a competitive dance workshop taped for television. This show features dancers ages 14-26 who seek the opportunity to be challenged, developed, and catapulted into the national entertainment media and dance industry markets. Participants will work with dancers and choreographers who are professionals in the areas of music videos, stage, film, and television. Collective work credits of the famed judges and choreographers include Beyonce, Debbie Allen, Jay-Z, Mariah Carey, Outkast, P. Diddy, Pharell, Will Smith, Disney, Fox, Fame, Miss America, MTV, Nike, Paramount, SONY, and more. Participants are accepted to participate in this unique TV series by auditioning at one of the open call audition locations during the TV series audition tour. During the workshops each dancer will undergo dance challenges in front of a live audience over a course of three days of shooting four televised episodes. Ten dancers from the workshop will be selected to be a finalist with the Top 12 Dancers of the competition and will proceed toward becoming the next American Dance Legend. The live audience will be allowed to select several “Wild Card Draw” dancers who were previously expelled from finalist selection and who will be placed with the final Top 12 Dancers. The Top 12 Dancers will be featured in the final episode where the winner of Karma Butler’s American Dance Legend (Season 1) will be announced. American Dance Legend is demographically targeted to males and females ages 14- 26. Season one has four thirty minute episodes. The episodes will broadcast two times per week for four consecutive weeks. The first broadcast day of the week will be a newly aired episode and the second broadcast of each week will be a rebroadcast of the first original broadcast of the current week. Several thirty second spots will be placed on multiple networks to promote the television show. Broadcasting airtime for the first four weeks will be marketed toward Hampton Roads Virginia and Northern North Carolina. All four episodes will be packaged, reproduced, and distributed as one full season to the national market of television networks and retail distributors. The winner of Karma Butler’s American Dance Legend (Season 1) will receive gifts and support including $1,000 from Dance Karma Entertainment, an exclusive meeting in New York City with the infamous DDO Artists Agency for the opportunity to have dance agent representation for placement in television, music videos, film, and stage productions, a full packaged Dancer/Model Photography Shoot compliments of Abejon Photography, one year of free entrees from Texas Roadhouse, one year membership to Onelife Fitness, a national press release sent to premiere newspapers, magazines, and on-line media publications featuring the winner of season 1, and other gifts. The Executive Producer and Host of American Dance Legend is Recording Artist, Choreographer/Dancer, Actor, and Entertainment Producer Karma Butler. Karma’s published songs have achieved global success being featured by SONY and distributed by top retailers including iTunes, MTV, Napster, Rhapsody, Amazon and more. Karma and his record label, Hear Karmic Music, have been featured by entertainment media icons including USA Today, Newsweek, and Yahoo News. His dance and choreography skills have been represented by the prestigious DDO Artists Agency of Los Angeles where he danced with dance celebrity Wade Robson and made casting call backs for recording artists Prince and Janet Jackson. The National High School Dance Festival and the Governor’s School for the Arts are two of the venues where Karma Butler is known for teaching his popular Hip-Hop and Jazz classes.
